Congratulations to Our First Awardees!

Oscar Edwards ('72), President/CEO, Higher Growth Strategies, LLC, delivered the inaugural speech at John W. North High's Award Ceremony on March 12, 2022, before helping to present the first Dr. Horace Jackson Legacy Scholarships to Fernando Cruz, Angelina Garcia and Giermo Aguierre.  Angelina and Giermo plan to attend Riverside City College in the Fall, and Fernando hopes to attend Cal State Fullerton where he can pursue a career in kinesiology.  Angelina plans to enroll in the nursing program and Giermo plans to focus on a business degree. We are very proud and as Oscar said, we and many many other Huskies across the world are here to support you!
